First Mate is in early access. Features change, things can break, and we may pause or end the service. We'll try to give you notice and a chance to export your data first.
Your boat's record is yours
You own what you put into First Mate. You let us store and process it only to run the service for you and the crew you invite.
You can export it from Settings at any time.
AI answers can be wrong
First Mate's answers come from an AI model working from your boat's record. Check anything that matters — especially safety, rigging, electrical, gas and seaworthiness — against the manufacturer's documentation and a qualified professional before you act on it.
The skipper stays responsible for the boat.
Fair use
Don't upload anything you don't have the right to share, don't try to reach other people's boats, and don't abuse or overload the service. We may suspend accounts that do.
No warranty
During early access First Mate is provided as is, without any warranty, and to the extent the law allows we aren't liable for losses from using it.
